"Steam engine house" at the Havel bay
The steam engine house pumps the water for the fountains in Sanssouci from the Havel river into the park. It was build in fashion of a muslim mosque and is not only a technological monument, but also a real architectural gem. And it is a perfect example how the kings of Prussia ordered necessary buildings to be ornamented with a splendid facade to fit into their city of residence.
